Family Solicitor

Location: Manchester (2 days working from home)

Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 (depending on experience)

Experience: Ideally 2-5 PQE

This role offers a balanced caseload across both finance and children matters. You’ll be trusted with responsibility, supported to develop, and given space to progress based on performance and client care rather than rigid PQE bands.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing a varied family caseload covering both financial and children matters

• Advising on divorce and separation

• Handling financial remedy work, including negotiation and settlement discussions

• Advising on private children matters, including child arrangements

• Drafting court documents and correspondence and preparing matters for hearings

• Supporting clients through sensitive issues with clear, practical advice

• Contributing to the growth of the team as the firm rebrands and expands

 

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor with ideally 2-5 years’ PQE in Family law

• Must have experience across both financial remedy and private children matters

• Confident running matters with appropriate supervision and escalating risk early

• Strong client care skills and a calm, professional communication style

• Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a growing environment
