Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000+ DOE

The Opportunity
In this key role, you will take full ownership of a varied private client caseload, advising individuals, families, and business owners across Maidstone and the wider Kent region. Working alongside experienced partners, you will manage end-to-end administration for estates, draft complex wills, and structure wealth preservation plans. Designed for a client-focused practitioner who enjoys building long-term relationships, this role combines high autonomy with collaborative partner support, flexible hybrid working, and clear long-term promotion pathways within a growing practice.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with approximately 3+ years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) specialising in Private Client law within a recognised UK practice. STEP or Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) accreditation is highly advantageous.

Caseload Management: Full end-to-end management of a diverse private client caseload, including Will drafting, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Probate and complex Estate Administration, Declarations of Trust, and succession planning.

Client Care & Vulnerable Clients: Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience advising elderly and vulnerable clients, conducting meetings in the office, at home, or in healthcare settings when required.

Local Engagement & Mobility: Strong desire to build contacts and nurture relationships across Maidstone and surrounding villages. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for client visits.

Commercial Mindset: Ability to identify cross-referral opportunities across the firm’s complementary practice areas (such as Residential Property and Corporate/Commercial).

Competitive Remuneration: £50,000 – £65,000 base compensation per annum (commensurate with PQE depth, market experience, and technical skill set).
