Senior Private Client Trusts Lawyer (Estate Planning)

Location: Sutton Coldfield

Salary: Attractive package

This is a brilliant opportunity for a senior Private Client practitioner who enjoys high-quality estate planning work and wants to take a leading role within a close-knit, long-established team.

Our client is looking to recruit a senior trusts-focused Private Client lawyer, ideally a full STEP member, to advise high net worth business owners on estate planning and trust matters. The team is known for being friendly, supportive and stable, with many colleagues having been with the firm for a number of years.

You will join a well-regarded Private Client practice with strong links to other professional advisers, and the scope to build your profile and progress into a leadership position. This could suit an existing Partner, or a Senior Associate ready to step up either immediately or in the near term.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Advising high net worth business owners on estate planning matters

• Handling trust work, including ongoing trust advice and related planning

• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships, with a high standard of client care

• Working closely with other professional advisers (for example accountants and IFAs) to deliver joined-up advice

• Supporting and collaborating with a close-knit team, sharing knowledge and best practice

• Contributing to business development and referral relationships, with scope to grow your own following

 

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 8+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in Private Client

• Strong estate planning experience, ideally advising high net worth business owners

• Comfortable dealing with trust matters as a core part of your caseload

• Ideally a full STEP member (or working towards full membership)

• Strong relationship-building skills and a commercially minded approach

• Confidence working with other professional advisers and developing referral networks

• A collaborative, team-first mindset
