This is a strong opportunity for a senior corporate transactions lawyer who enjoys running deals, building client relationships and being part of a genuinely busy M&A practice.

Our client is looking to hire a senior M&A practitioner to join an established corporate team. The team is active and well supported, with a steady flow of instructions and the chance to take early responsibility on transactions while working closely with experienced Partners.

This hire could suit an existing Partner, or a Senior Associate ready to step up either immediately or in the near term. You will join a collaborative team and play a key role in maintaining momentum across live matters, supporting junior colleagues and helping to grow the practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Advising on a range of corporate transactions, with a focus on private company M&A
  • Managing deals end-to-end, including timetables, due diligence, drafting and negotiation
  • Leading client relationships day-to-day and delivering clear, commercially focused advice
  • Coordinating with colleagues across the wider firm to progress matters efficiently
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture
  • Contributing to business development and helping to generate new instructions

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 6+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in corporate transactions
  • Strong M&A experience and confidence running matters with appropriate supervision
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and working to deadlines
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and client-handling skills
  • A collaborative approach, with interest in supporting and developing others
  • Commercial mindset and good judgement

What’s On Offer

  • Attractive package
  • A busy M&A practice with high-quality work and strong internal support
  • Clear progression and leadership scope for the right person
  • Hybrid working and flexibility for the right candidate
  • Collegiate, friendly and ambitious culture
