Corporate Partner

Location: Altrincham

Salary: £120,000 to £180,000 (plus bonus and benefits)

Our client is looking to appoint an established Corporate Partner to join a leading Corporate team advising a strong portfolio of commercial organisations. The team is busy, well-resourced and ambitious, with a clear focus on strategic advice, excellent client service and long-term relationships.

This is a senior hire with real influence. Alongside leading transactions, you will support the strategic direction of the department, play an active role in shaping how the team operates, and help develop junior lawyers through day-to-day supervision and mentoring.

 

Typical Matters

• Mergers, acquisitions and disposals

• Due diligence and disclosure

• Investment agreements

• Shareholder agreements and articles of association

• Succession planning

• LLP and partnership arrangements

• Share restructuring and group reorganisations

• Share options, including EMIs

• Company formation and administration

• Non-contentious insolvency work

• Banking work, including loans, security and deeds of priority

• Employee ownership trust (EOT) conversions and other succession strategies

 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading corporate transactions and delivering clear, pragmatic advice to clients

• Supporting the strategic direction and growth of the Corporate team

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with a focus on long-term value

• Supervising, mentoring and developing junior team members

• Contributing to business development, cross-referrals and profile-raising activity

• Managing matters effectively, including scope, resourcing, timelines and client communication

 

What We’re Looking For

• Corporate Partner (or senior lawyer operating at Partner level) with strong corporate transactional experience

• Background from a national or top-tier regional firm

• Strong technical capability and commercial judgement

• Confident leading deals and supervising others

• Strong regional market profile and connections (client following not required)

• Experience advising SME and owner-managed businesses (desirable)

• Collaborative, team-oriented approach and strong matter management skills
