Our client is looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor (5–6 PQE) to advise a diverse client base of businesses and individuals across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. You will be trusted with meaningful responsibility from day one, supported by experienced colleagues, and encouraged to build your profile through client work and business development.

This is a full-time role based in Shirley. You will manage your own matters with a good level of autonomy, while working closely with colleagues in a collaborative, commercially focused environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Advising employers on disciplinaries, grievances, performance management and wider employee relations issues
  • Supporting restructures and redundancies, including associated consultation and risk management
  • Advising on TUPE matters
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to resolution
  • Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, policies, settlement agreements and related documentation
  • Supporting corporate transactions with employment law advice and due diligence
  • Delivering commercially focused, strategic advice tailored to client objectives
  • Supporting business development activity, including networking, seminars, client training and relationship building

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor with around 5–6 years’ PQE in Employment Law (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong technical experience across contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • Strong drafting skills, organisation and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-first approach
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
  • A genuine team approach and interest in contributing to a growing practice

What’s On Offer

  • Salary of £60,000 to £75,000
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Birthday leave
  • Group stakeholder pension scheme (Scottish Widows), with salary sacrifice option
  • Healthcare plan (support towards optical, dental and counselling)
  • Flexible holiday purchase/sale scheme
