Location: Manchester
Salary: £75,000-£110,000 + Extensive Benefits

Our client, a nationally recognised law firm with a leading Disputes & Investigations practice, is seeking an ambitious Associate or Managing Associate to join their Manchester team. About the Role
As an Associate or Managing Associate in the Finance Disputes team, you'll be integral to resolving complex financial disputes across various sectors and jurisdictions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling diverse finance dispute matters, such as:
- Multi-million-pound fraud disputes
- Large-scale debt recoveries
- Regulatory investigations
- Cross-border enforcement actions
- Complex commercial litigation
- Acting for a wide range of clients, including:
- High street banks
- Commercial finance providers
- Asset-based lenders
- Insolvency practitioners
- Financial services institutions
- Engaging with key regulatory bodies:
- Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
- Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)
- Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS)
- Resolving disputes through various methods:
- Litigation
- Negotiation
- Mediation
- Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
- Drafting and reviewing complex legal documentation
- Conducting thorough legal and financial research
- Preparing detailed case reports and strategic analyses
- Supporting senior team members in client meetings
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to business development efforts
- Mentoring junior team members
- Engaging in continuous professional development

What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with 3-7 years' post-qualification experience in finance disputes
- Strong academic background
- Proven experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
- Detail-oriented approach
- Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
Desirable:
- Experience in financial services litigation
- Understanding of regulatory investigations
- Knowledge of cross-border dispute resolution
- Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods
- Additional finance or litigation-related qualifications
