Our client, a well-established legal practice with a strong presence across Northamptonshire, is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their growing team in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious private client lawyer to manage their own caseload whilst developing business development skills and building lasting client relationships.

About the Role
As a Private Client Solicitor, you'll manage a varied caseload independently, providing expert legal advice across all aspects of private client work. You'll work closely with the firm's commercial teams to develop cross-referral opportunities and play a key role in expanding the private client offering in the Corby area.
This is a client-facing role that requires technical expertise, commercial awareness, and a proactive approach to business development.
Your Caseload Will Include
- Wills & Lasting Powers of Attorney – Drafting and advising on wills, LPAs, and advance directives
- Estate Administration – Managing probate matters and estate administration from start to finish
- Trusts – Advising on trust creation, administration, and taxation matters
- Estate & Inheritance Tax Planning – Providing strategic advice on inheritance tax mitigation and estate planning
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration – Working alongside commercial teams to identify private client opportunities for business clients
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Legal Executive with a current practising certificate
- 3+ years' PQE in private client law within a UK legal practice
- Proven technical competence across wills, trusts, probate, and estate planning
- Ability to run your own caseload independently without supervision
- Strong client care skills with experience managing sensitive and complex matters
- Business development mindset – confident in networking, building relationships, and identifying new opportunities
- Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex legal matters in accessible terms
Desirable:
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals
- STEP qualification or working towards it
- Existing client following or demonstrable business development track record
- Knowledge of agricultural estates or family business succession planning
