Hiring: Senior Auditor

Salary: £35000+ (dependent on experience)
Location: Lancaster/Hybrid working available

Due to continued growth, an established accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to join its audit team.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on role, offering exposure to a wide range of clients and industries. You will be heavily involved in audit fieldwork and play a key role in delivering high-quality audit assignments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and completing audit assignments from start to finish

• Conducting audit fieldwork both remotely and on client premises (including occasional overnight stays)

• Preparing statutory financial statements from client records

• Reporting completed audit files directly to the Responsible Individual (RI)

• Developing and managing strong client relationships

• Assisting with the training and development of junior team members

• Building and managing your own portfolio of clients over time

About You

• ACA / ACCA / CA qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar audit role

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP

• Experience auditing clients across a range of industries

• Previous experience in a small or medium-sized accountancy practice preferred

• Full UK driving licence required
