Job Description
Litigation Solicitor (3+ PQE)
Salary: £70,000–£95,000 + bonus
Location: Central London
Varied disputes work + real autonomy
If you’re a confident litigator who enjoys a broad caseload and wants the freedom to run matters properly (without being boxed into one niche), this is a strong opportunity. Our client is a forward-thinking London firm in growth mode, looking to add an experienced Litigation Solicitor who can handle high-quality disputes work and play an active part in developing client relationships as the team expands.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a growing disputes team with a genuinely mixed caseload spanning corporate and commercial disputes as well as residential and commercial property litigation. You’ll manage your own files day-to-day, work closely with colleagues across the firm, and have the chance to build your profile internally and externally as the practice continues to grow.
The Work (Corporate, Commercial & Property Disputes)
You will act for a diverse client base including business owners, SMEs, property developers, landlords and private individuals, advising on strategy and resolution of disputes in a commercial, pragmatic way.
Work is likely to include:
- Corporate and commercial disputes (contractual claims, shareholder/director issues, debt recovery and general commercial litigation)
- Commercial property litigation (lease disputes, forfeiture, dilapidations, rent arrears and possession-related matters)
- Residential property disputes where required
- Managing matters through the full lifecycle, including pre-action correspondence, ADR/settlement discussions, and where needed, court proceedings
Requirements (What You’ll Need)
To be considered, you should have:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- Minimum 3+ years’ PQE with UK litigation experience (private practice or equivalent)
- Broad disputes exposure, ideally covering commercial litigation and property litigation
- Strong technical ability with a practical, client-focused approach
- Confidence running your own caseload with appropriate supervision
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- An interest in developing client relationships and supporting business development (following not essential, but mindset matters)
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £70,000–£95,000 (guide range, dependent on experience)
- Bonus: Bonus arrangements available (to be agreed)
- High autonomy and ownership of your matters
- Career progression as the disputes team grows (scope to increase responsibility and profile)
- Varied, good-quality work with a broad client base
- A collaborative environment with strong cross-department support
