Our client, a distinguished law firm with over 20 years’ expertise, is seeking a Landlord & Tenant Solicitor to join their Surrey team. The Role: Autonomy, Variety & Strategic Impact

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diverse Caseload Management: Lead and manage both commercial and residential property matters with complete autonomy

  • Strategic Client Advisory: Advise clients on complex landlord and tenant transactions across diverse property sectors

  • Business Development: Drive firm growth through new client acquisition and relationship building

 

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate

  • Minimum 7 years’ PQE in UK property law (commercial & residential)

  • Demonstrable technical expertise in:

    • Commercial lease negotiations (renewal, assignment, surrender, determination)

    • Sale and purchase of commercial properties

    • Granting commercial leases and licences

    • Complex development work (options, overage, clawback agreements, planning)

    • Advanced SDLT and VAT knowledge

    • Residential sales, purchases, and leasehold enfranchisement

    • Specialist transactions (shared ownership, home equity, bridging loans)

    • Newbuild, investment, and unregistered land conveyancing

  • Outstanding academic credentials from a leading institution

  • Autonomous, strategic, and client-focused approach
