Are you an experienced Private Client Solicitor seeking a senior role with greater autonomy, high-value work, and a genuine pathway to Partnership? Our client is looking for a technically strong and commercially aware Senior Associate – Private Client to take the lead on complex matters and help shape the future direction of the team.
The Role – Senior Associate, Private Client
In this senior role, you will manage a broad and high-quality caseload, including:
- Wills, trusts, and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals
- Probate and estate administration, including complex estates
- Advising on Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning and wealth structuring
- Creation and management of lifetime and discretionary trusts
- Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and Court of Protection work
- Providing tailored advice on asset protection and succession planning
You will also:
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support staff
- Contribute to business development and networking activities
- Play a key role in the strategic development of the team
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- 5–10 years’ PQE in Private Client work within a UK law firm
- Strong experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families
- Excellent technical knowledge of IHT, trusts, and estate planning
- Proven ability to manage complex matters independently
- Strong drafting, analytical, and client-facing skills
- STEP qualification (full or part-qualified) highly desirable
- Experience supervising junior staff and contributing to team development
- A commercially minded approach with an interest in business development
