Our client is expanding its Audit & Assurance team in the Greater Manchester area and is looking for a talented Audit & Assurance Senior to play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and accounts assignments. The Role: Audit Senior
You will be responsible for delivering audit and accounts assignments across a varied portfolio of clients, supporting Managers and contributing to the development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and complete audit assignments for a broad client base
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies in line with UK GAAP / FRS 102
- Take responsibility for audit fieldwork, including completion of audit files
- Liaise with clients before and during assignments to ensure efficient delivery
- Ensure assignments are completed on time and within budget
- Support work on group audits and subsidiary audits where applicable
- Assist with general accounts preparation and compliance work
- Contribute to team support and junior staff development
About You
We are seeking a motivated and technically strong individual with experience in UK Practice.
Essential Requirements
- ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualified
- 3–5 years’ UK Practice experience in Audit & Assurance
- Strong knowledge of:
- Audit procedures and methodologies
- UK GAAP / FRS 102
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and audit files
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments effectively
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with group audits and multi-entity structures
- Familiarity with audit software and accounting systems
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
