Are you an experienced Personal Tax professional looking to join a progressive and client-focused accountancy firm where your expertise is valued and your development is actively supported? Our client is seeking a Personal Tax Senior to join their growing team in the Leeds area, offering exposure to a diverse client base and genuine opportunities for career progression.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, provide strategic tax advice, and play a key role in delivering high-quality service to entrepreneurial, privately owned businesses and their stakeholders.
The Role: Personal Tax Senior
In this varied and client-facing position, you will manage your own portfolio while supporting senior colleagues on more complex tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, acting as their primary point of contact
- Prepare, review, and submit Self Assessment tax returns and computations
- Handle compliance work efficiently while identifying tax planning opportunities
- Support Directors with advisory projects such as remuneration planning, exit strategies, and restructuring
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively resolving queries
- Review financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Provide mentoring and support to junior staff
- Attend occasional prospective client meetings and contribute to business development
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical expertise alongside excellent communication skills.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience within UK accountancy practice (Personal Tax focus)
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
- Strong knowledge of Self Assessment, compliance, and basic tax planning
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills
Desirable
- CTA qualified or part-qualified (or ATT qualified with strong experience)
- Experience working with medical clients (GPs, dentists) including partnerships and PCSE submissions
- Exposure to complex tax matters and advisory work

Location & Working Pattern
