Location: Blackpool, Lancashire
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000+ DOE

The Opportunity
Joining a friendly and supportive team environment, you will work across a balanced mix of statutory accounts preparation and dynamic audit assignments. Acting as a key point of contact for a diverse client base—spanning ambitious SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and sizeable corporate entities—you will work directly alongside experienced Managers and Partners. Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Experience & Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years’ recent UK general practice experience within audit and accounts. AAT qualified and actively studying towards (or preparing to start) ACA or ACCA qualifications.

Accounts Preparation: End-to-end preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and LLPs from both client software and incomplete records.

Audit Assignments: Planning, supporting, and executing audit fieldwork across diverse industry sectors, compiling comprehensive audit files and testing documentation under manager supervision.

Client Engagement & Advisory: Building strong working relationships with client finance teams, responding to day-to-day accounting queries, and assisting with management information.

Team Collaboration & Mentoring: Supporting junior team members and trainees while maintaining strict quality control and deadline management.

Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern cloud accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and audit software, supported by strong MS Excel capabilities.

Competitive Remuneration: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum (dependent on qualification status, experience, and market standing) with structured annual salary reviews.
