Employment Solicitor – York

Salary: Up to £55,000 plus excellent benefits

We're partnering with a well-established regional law firm looking to recruit a skilled Employment Solicitor to join their busy Commercial team at their modern York office.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to manage your own high-quality caseload covering the full spectrum of employment law matters, with the autonomy to develop client relationships and make a real impact in a growing practice.

 

About the Role

 

You'll handle a diverse range of both contentious and non-contentious matters, including:

• Contracts of employment and service agreements

• Discrimination and whistleblowing claims

• Disciplinary and grievance procedures

• Settlement agreements and negotiations

• TUPE transfers and restructuring

• Unfair dismissal and wrongful dismissal claims

• Employment Tribunal preparation and advocacy

• Redundancy advice and workforce reorganisation

 

The team is collaborative, highly regarded, and you'll receive the support and flexibility needed to excel.

 

What We're Looking For

 

• Strong Employment Law background – typically 5+ years' experience as a Solicitor or Legal Executive

• Confidence handling diverse caseloads and advising both employers and employees

• Commercial mindset with a practical, solutions-focused approach

• Excellent communication and client care skills

• Marketing or business development experience would be advantageous

• Ability to work independently within a supportive team environment
