Are you an experienced residential property Conveyancer or Executive looking to join a well-established legal practice in West Yorkshire? Our client is seeking a motivated residential property professional to join their Morley office on a full-time basis. This is your opportunity to manage a busy caseload of sale and purchase matters whilst building your client base in a supportive environment with excellent career progression opportunities.
About the Role
As a Residential Property Conveyancer/Executive, you'll manage a busy caseload of sale and purchase matters from file opening to completion, working with minimum supervision. You'll have extensive experience of freehold and leasehold transactions and will be motivated to create and maintain a solid client base in and around the Morley area, whilst priding yourself on delivering a first-class service throughout the entire conveyancing process.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Full File Management: Dealing with matters at all stages, from taking the client's initial instructions through to completion and archiving, in accordance with office and accounts procedures

Client Advisory: Taking instructions from clients and advising accordingly on all aspects of residential property transactions

Documentation: Obtaining and preparing file documentation to the required standard, including contracts, searches, and completion statements

Financial Management: Billing files and obtaining monies due to the firm from the clients and other parties

Liaison: Communicating effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors

Compliance: Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering regulations and SRA standards

Professional Development: Maintaining legal knowledge and skills through ongoing learning and development

Client Base Development: Creating and maintaining a solid client base in and around the Morley area

Service Excellence: Delivering a first-class service throughout the entire conveyancing process

About You
Essential Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience at a similar level in residential property conveyancing

Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEX with proven track record

Extensive experience of freehold and leasehold transactions

Ability to work with minimum supervision and manage own caseload independently

Ability to deal with technical details and to express solutions to complex legal issues in a concise and customer-friendly way

Literate and numerate with excellent written and spoken English

Ability to work accurately in accordance with the requirements of the team

Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
-
Ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team
-
Ability to deal with enquiries in a customer-friendly and effective manner

Good keyboard skills and proficiency in case management systems

Sound technical conveyancing knowledge

Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, and legal software

Knowledge of Solicitors Code of Conduct and SRA regulations

Excellent written English to produce documents for clients and other parties

Good spoken English to resolve telephone enquiries effectively

Proven track record in building and maintaining client relationships

Experience supervising or mentoring junior conveyancers or support staff

Knowledge of the local Morley and Leeds property market
