Overview
We are supporting a well-established accountancy practice to recruit a Semi Senior. This is a hands-on role for someone building confidence in accounts preparation and client work, with support from a friendly team and clear progression as you develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Produce accurate working papers and maintain well-organised files
- Assist with corporation tax computations and returns (depending on the role split)
- Support with VAT returns and bookkeeping where required
- Liaise with clients to request records and resolve day-to-day queries
- Work closely with seniors/managers to meet deadlines across a varied portfolio
- Support junior colleagues with basic queries as you develop
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a UK accountancy practice in an accounts role
- AAT studying/qualified, or ACA/ACCA part-qualified (helpful, not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and a steady, organised approach
- Confident using accounting software and Excel
- Clear communication skills and a professional client manner
